Deia really began her intense interest in books when she got her big girl bed in June and we instated the 2 books at bedtime routine. We put out a gazillion books on the bookshelf downstairs and in her room, and she gets to choose her 2 books. She loves know what they are...so often times she'll just sit with a few books during another part of the day...on a recon mission, sort of. It's amazing to listen to her make up stories, read to her dolls or even try to remember parts of a book we already read to her. Her memory seems to be amazing. She's also sharp enough to know if we have skipped a page!
