Deia is 3 months old now, insane!!!! Time has flown by and she is just a real person now! She has a very distinct personality, some funny habits, quirks and many new talents. She is grabbing for things in front of her and batting at whatever is within arm's reach. Her arms flail so wildly sometimes that she wacks herself in the head and frightens herself! It's hilarious, but requires a bit of tlc. She now holds and shakes her rattles and can use her little hands to keep her pacifier in her mouth. The funniest thing is her imaginary friend in the den! She looks over her left shoulder, into the abyss of the upper corner/closet area of the room and breaks out in ear to ear grins and laughter. She talks to her friend for long periods of time and even gets shy and buries her head in your chest while smiling. Deia's head is fairly sturdy, unless she is tired. She has slept through the night a few times...6 & 7 hours...and we hope she continues on that path! Of course, I was up all night making sure she was breathing because her silence for that long was so unusual! Then there is the middle of the night pumping... Anyway, her thunder thighs are glorious and her smiles and noises are plentiful. She has successfully burned out a nice bald spot on the back of her head...but the rest of her hair has stayed in perfect condition and is still dark brown. Her harness is still on, but hopefully it will be off next week. She has been such a dream and even when Corey and I get "a night off," we miss her so much and cannot wait to kiss-attack her again!

My Hands Taste So Good!
Deia is really discovering her hands...they spend a TON of time in her mouth! Here she is checking out her first and salivating at the thought of it touching her lips. It's precious to see her suck on her knuckles and spend some extra attention on her little thumb. She is 12 weeks in this photo.
First Dip In The Pool!
Soaring temps in January made it perfect for Deia's first dip in the pool! It was my birthday and seeing this was the best gift ever. She was in a white, eyelet bathing suit. ...ruffles on the bottom and a bow between the teeny triangle top, adorable. She was a bit too hungry and tired, so our efforts were ambitious. But her first pee-in-the-pool may very well have happened on January 19th, 2008 at the Montage in Laguna Beach, CA.
Airplane
Who knew that Deia would get such a kick out of airplane!!!! She was all smiles and wanted more more more. So fun!
Mommy's Birthday
Daddy took his girls to the Montage in Laguna Beach for my birthday. It was 80 degrees in January and the beach was spectacular. We enjoyed the sunset and then had a wonderful dinner by a large firepit on the bluff. In the morning Mommy got a great massage and almost fell asleep in the hot tub afterwards....but she still couldn't wait to get back to the room and have breakfast with her family on the terrace. Another gorgeous day, another day that reminds me how blessed I am with my husband and baby.
Strong Neck
Little Miss is starting to get very strong! She is using her little arm and back muscles to lift her head high. She is still a little bobble-head, but she turns her neck from side to side with such gusto so as to take in all the people and places around her. It's fun to see how curious she is! She is 11 weeks in this pic.
Birth Announcement
We took this photo on a sunny morning in the middle of our bed. We decided to send the picture that shows our baby as a 10 week old, not the 7 pound newborn with her eyes closed. ...she just isn't that baby anymore and we didn't send the cards out early enough. She is 9 weeks old in this pic. We love this one!
